Use a tennis ball or massage roll-out ball under your foot on the outer edge. Roll foward and back, side to side, circles, and diagonal. Add pressure as you can tolerate without causing more pain. Make sure you feel relief afterwards and not any worse. If you feel worse, then this might not be the best thing for you to do at this time.
